A typical Jerusalem stone doorway beckons you to the Jerusalem landscape with a flowery "embroidered" border. Note the traditional cornice with the hamsa (amulet) just barely visible. This 'lucky charm' is a very popular decorative motif and one that can be found in very many of Jerusalem's older stone buildings in the masonry and is a popular item on the walls in most homes. Silver dots highlight the gold-outlined border.
