Description
This family tree is different in that my client wished that the famous Chrysler building in Manhattan be somehow represented in the illustration as it is her father's favorite building. So on the left of the tree you have Jerusalem and on the right, a Manhattan skyline with the Chrysler building.



The trunk of the tree holds the names of the parents and, in the roots, the previous generation.



Framing the tree in micrography is a fable from the Hebrew Scriptures, Ta'anit 5 and basically says that all saplings of a tree should be just as the parent tree in all his/her characteristics -- refreshing shade, bountiful sparkling waters, and delicious fruit in order to take a break from one's journey [... through Life ...].
